Clear clutter slowly: 105 things to remove from your home

As Buddha said, “Attachment is the root source of suffering”.

There’s a reason we feel so good after cleaning. Your home is an extension of our aura. Get rid of old belongings that aren’t aligned with who you are anymore.

Old things carry old energy.

Broken things carry stuck energy.

Release them all.

According to Psychology Today, “clutter causes stress in part because of its excessive visual stimuli. It also signals to our brains that our work is never done and creates guilt, anxiety and the feeling of being overwhelmed.”

Now, keeping in mind we are all so very different in the way some of us just love to set aside a day and go room by room on a sunny spring day…while others look at a space or room and get overwhelmed by the very idea of going through so much stuff.

Years ago I owned a small organizing company with a good friend, so when I say “I understand the overwhelm”, I really do.

My motto with everything, however, (eating, exercise, yoga, oils, family, raising kids) is: take everything slowly, little by little, make checklists, do what you can, make shifts attainable.

That’s why I made you a printable checklist! Download it HERE.

I also created a meditation for “letting go” in case you have something heavy in your heart or maybe a stressful thought that won’t go away…basically anything not serving you right now. It’s quick, very simple and gentle. From start to finish, it’s only 5 minutes.

I hope you love the checklist and take some time for my brief meditation!! K♥
