Happy Tuesday :)
I saw this quote a while ago and saved it specifically to share with you, this week.
In an age of speed, nothing can be more invigorating than going slow. In an age of distraction, nothing can feel more luxurious than paying attention. And in an age of constant movement, nothing is more urgent than sitting still.
I share this with you because prepping and making and then sitting to eat our meals is something many Canadians have moved away from, unfortunately, (you are probably the exception).
So, what we’re doing this week…planning, prepping, cooking and then enjoying a home cooked meal is becoming a lost art.
And remember, the more we create these meal planning/prepping habits at home, the more our children and young adults observe and later on in life will do the same.
A little stat I found online about young adults, ages 16-30 years old:
“More than 25% of meals prepared at home were ready-to-eat/box food. Of all meals consumed, 42% were either ready-to-eat/box food prepared at home or prepared outside the home.”
So, if you’re craving slower, healthier, simpler living…meal planning and morning routines are a wonderful place to start.
And once again, I am happy you are here with me this week. xo
